Women in Real Estate Honoree: Lori Pawley, Irvine Company
Lori Pawley sees opportunities to improve, even at a highly successful mall like Irvine Spectrum in Irvine, CA, which has 16 to 17 million visitors annually. As vice president of leasing for the Irvine Company, she led a redevelopment that turned the box occupied by an underperforming Macy’s into a new pedestrian loop that created spaces for new restaurants, shops and — eventually — a new Apple Store.
Insights like these led us to choose Pawley to be one of the 2017 Women in Real Estate Award winners for California. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of those women who’ve reached respected positions of leadership, and play key mentorship roles for others in commercial real estate.
Colleagues say Pawley not only manages some of the most successful malls in the U.S., she also is loyal and caring with her team, which she takes once a year on the road in a bonding trip to scout other shopping centers and to get to know each other.
