Women in Real Estate Honoree: Kazuko Morgan, Cushman & Wakefield
Kazuko Morgan is known for leasing and selling some of the most famous retail properties on earth — from San Francisco’s historic Phelan Building to Las Vegas Sands’ projects in Macau.
As vice chairman for Cushman & Wakefield, she helped sell the iconic Tiffany & Co. building in San Francisco’s Union Square for $135 million in 2016. She utilizes the Cushman & Wakefield global platform to source buyers from across the world — in this case a European buyer for the California property.
She also recently handled the $374-million sale of the Phelan Building to a New York-based private family-owned entity with global holdings. It was the first time ever that the Phelan Building had been openly on the market. Morgan’s business acumen and access to a wide commercial real estate network helped make the public offering a success.
Deals like these are just a few of the reasons we chose Morgan to be one of the 2017 Women in Real Estate Award winners for California. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of those women who have reached respected positions of leadership, and play key mentorship roles for others in commercial real estate.
Colleagues also praise her as a fantastic mentor to others working in brokerage, as well as her own team of 13 brokers.
