Women in Real Estate Honoree: Darla Longo, CBRE
Darla Longo has been in the top 3% of brokers for CBRE for 35 out of 36 years. The only year in which the volume of deals she participated in did not put her in the top 3% was her first year as a broker. That’s when CBRE named her the national Rookie of the Year.
That long history of success is just one of the reasons we chose Longo to be one of the 2017 Women in Real Estate Award winners for California. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of those women who’ve reached respected positions of leadership, and play key mentorship roles for others in commercial real estate.
In 2006, Longo became the first woman at CBRE to become vice chairman, and is the first woman in the company’s history to be elected to the CBRE Board of Directors. She is currently a managing director in CBRE’s West Coast Institutional Group.
A mother of three, Longo often works as a team with her sister, Barbara Emmons Perrier, also a vice chairman with CBRE.
