Women in Real Estate 2018: Transwestern Development’s Fankhauser Finds Hidden Opportunities
During Darcie Fankhauser’s three years at Transwestern Development Co., she has sourced and led speculative, build-to-suit and pre-sale development projects. Formerly of Heitman, her institutional experience provides the ideal background for structuring deals that best fit the project, capital sources and tenant demand. She has been highly effective at leading development projects and construction teams to successfully deliver projects on time and within budget.
Fankhauser has been instrumental in several transactions that involve BTS projects with sophisticated Fortune 500 companies, along with complex land assemblages for infill development sites in submarkets where there is seemingly no land available for development. Colleagues say she has formed strong relationships with brokers, investors and lenders to become an effective and reliable business partner.
