Women in Real Estate 2018: JLL’s Moore Advocates for Gender Parity

Misty Moore is one of the leading female commercial real estate brokers in San Diego, and co-chairs the Law Firm Group for JLL in San Diego. Many years ago, she started building relationships with female partners at law firms, a gender group largely overlooked by competitors. She credits this strategy for her now-robust book of law firm business.

Moore also successfully led the charge in securing the University of California, San Diego as a JLL tenant representation client in 2013, and again in 2018 with the service portfolio expanded to multiple business lines. In all, she has a transaction volume that covers nearly seven million square feet and $900 million in value, and consistently ranks in the Top 10 brokers in her office.

These are just some of the reasons we chose Moore as one of the 2018 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.

Aside from aligning herself with female leaders in industries she targets for her real estate services, Moore is a powerful advocate for gender parity in her firm, her profession and commercial real estate. She has also helped encourage her firm to assemble diverse teams when presenting to clients for new work, as those clients will likely be diverse as well.
