Women in Real Estate 2018: EverGreene’s DeMercurio Serves the Community

Katherine DeMercurio is committed to the real estate and design industry, empowering women to be leaders in the industry, volunteering to give back to others and serving the broader community on the boards of CREW-NY, for which she guides the scholarship program, and the Society for Marketing Professional Services-NY.

DeMercurio led SMPS NY’s THE Marketing Conference into a successful full-day event that drew a nationwide audience of business development and marketing professionals for architecture, engineering and real estate firms.

More than that, she has also focused on making a difference for the less fortunate. For a number of years, she has raised funds for the St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelter through Spin for Hunger. As evidence of her devotion, SMPS named her Humanitarian of the Year for 2018.

These are just a few reasons we chose DeMercurio as one of the 2018 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.

In her current role at EverGreene Architectural Arts, DeMercurio leads the efforts to position the Sunset Park-based firm as one of the largest specialty contractors and architectural arts studios in the country. She has been involved with cutting-edge explorations of how the interplay of exterior and interior technologically-enhanced architecture can improve the public experience.
