Women in Real Estate 2018: Duval & Stachenfeld’s Adler Gets It Done Without Fanfare

When crunch time arrives, some of New York CRE’s heaviest hitters—including Angelo, Gordon & Co., Cerberus Capital Management, Ares Management and Extell Development—call Terri Adler. One of the founding partners at Duval & Stachenfeld and chair of its real estate department, Adler is known for getting complicated deals done quickly and without fanfare.

She’s regarded as a powerhouse in corporate real estate transactions involving complex structuring, playing to her strength as an innovator. And she does all this while still being able to get along with the many diverse personalities involved.

Those are just a few of the reasons we chose Adler as one of the 2018 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.

Throughout her career, Adler has been at the forefront of many industry trends and has guided clients into new businesses, new products and new investments throughout the world. Most recently, she was at the forefront of structuring of investments into Opportunity Zones along with the co-chair of the firm’s tax department, Jessica Millett.

Adler was recently named as one of the top 100 female lawyers in New York in Crain’s New York’s 2018 inaugural list, which recognizes women for distinguished careers and exceptional civic and philanthropic activities.
