Women in Real Estate 2018: Consolo is Douglas Elliman’s “Queen of Retail”

Chairman of retail brokerage at Douglas Elliman and known worldwide as the “Queen of Retail,” Faith Hope Consolo is renowned for her expertise as a consultant and broker who has been instrumental in shaping shopping corridors across the nation and beyond.

Consolo’s understanding of the industry enables her to strategize with retailers throughout the country, from unveiling national expansions to the debuts of flagship stores in locations spanning global capitals to suburban power centers.

She brought to New York City international brands such as Paris designer footwear brand Robert Clergerie, Asia teahouse Debutea and Sydney-based lifestyle brand TDE. She’s also developed a reputation for assisting brands in setting up pop-up shops, earning her yet another moniker: the “Go to Girl for Pop-Up Shops.”

These are just some of the reasons we chose Consolo as one of the 2018 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.

Consolo’s role as an industry mentor is also widely recognized. Over the years, she has taken leadership roles on the board of the national CREW Network; its New York chapter, NYCREW; the International Council of Shopping Centers; and the Association of Real Estate Women, for which she is a past president and for which she founded the AREW Charitable Fund.
