Women in Real Estate 2018: CBRE’s Casto-DeLeon an “Outstanding” Loan Servicer

D’Etta Casto-DeLeon started her career fresh out of high school on the insurance agency side. After several years, she saw an opportunity to move into mortgage banking in the insurance department on the loan servicing side. She kept asking questions and taking on new tasks, resulting in her career progression from loan closer to senior portfolio manager.

Today, Casto-DeLeon manages a portfolio for multiple life companies across various product types at CBRE Loan Service Inc. She’s well- known within the mortgage banking loan servicing industry. When CBRE sought to add to its portfolio management team in early 2017, Casto-DeLeon quickly emerged as a strong candidate.

“In this industry, there are a handful of truly outstanding servicers, and I have the opportunity to work with D’Etta Casto-DeLeon [with CBRE] as one of the best,” says Kelly Baker with American National Insurance Company.

That’s just one of the reasons we chose Casto-DeLeon as one of the 2018 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.

Casto-DeLeon began working to obtain her CCIM designation in 2005. Immediately after receiving her designation in 2007, she began volunteering with the local chapter and became a regional VP in 2014. At present, she’s the member services presidential liaison for 2019 CCIM Institute president Barbara Crane.
