Women in Real Estate 2018: AEI’s Neber Views Leadership as Service

Holly Neber began her work with AEI Consultants in 1999 as an entry-level project manager, became its president in 2009 and was named CEO in 2016. Since Neber became president of the employee-owned Walnut Creek, CA-based CRE consulting firm, the company has expanded to Europe; added capabilities across its platform; and grown revenues by nearly 450%.

That’s just one of the reasons we chose Neber as one of the 2018 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.

Neber’s business acumen also extends to her management style. She is exceptional at connecting with colleagues and clients alike, and her deep values are reflected in her commitment to the firm’s employees. Neber views leadership as service, and focuses on inspiring and growing the next generation of AEI leaders.

Her leadership is reflected in her role as the next president of CREW Network, having served as East Bay chapter president in 2014. “CREW Network advances our members by providing skills, knowledge and business connections,” Neber said. “This benefits not only the individual members—more than 11,000 of them—but also all of the companies represented. In this way, we transform the industry at a time when innovative thinking and diversity of thought are critical.”
