Women in Real Estate 2020: MB Real Estate’s Suzanne Hendrick Takes Hands-On Approach

As SVP and managing director of asset management at MB Real Estate for the past seven years, Suzanne Hendrick has grown MBRE’s management group into one of the busiest in the Chicago market. Utilizing her 27 years of experience to guide the firm’s property portfolio and leading on-site teams at MBRE-managed properties, Hendrick’s hands-on approach at MBRE encourages growth among the many people around her.

Hendrick has thrived at multiple high-profile stops during her long career. Before joining MB Real Estate, Hendrick served as VP at The John Buck Company and held the position of general manager at 111 S. Wacker Dr., a Class-A high-rise office building that earned The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) award on her watch. Before her time at The John Buck Company, Hendrick managed several high-profile buildings in Chicago with Hines Interests.

These are just some of the reasons we chose Hendrick as one of the 2020 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.

The negative effects of coronavirus have spread throughout the commercial real estate industry, but Hendrick has acted confidently from the beginning of the pandemic onward. She showed no hesitation as she reacted to COVID-19 and set procedures into motion for the properties under her care that would ensure the safety of MBRE employees and tenants alike.
