Women in Real Estate 2020: Meridian’s Shallini Mehra Treats Buyers’ Purchases as Her Own

Shallini Mehra joined Meridian in 2018 and currently serves as a managing director specializing in investment property sales of assets including multifamily, mixed-use, affordable housing, retail, commercial, and development. She began her career as a public accountant, but has focused on investment sales in New York City for more than 18 years with a niche focus on multifamily.

At Meridian, Mehra works alongside Amit Doshi on Team Doshi. She consistently adds value to her team and her clients by analyzing deals so that her clients understand the “investment play.” Collectively, Mehra’s team has sold more than 1,600 properties citywide.

These are just a couple of the reasons we chose Mehra as one of the 2020 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.

When Mehra identifies a real estate buyer who is ready to transact, she joins their team as if the purchase was her own. She stays in touch with the attorneys every step of the way and assists with any potential issues that may arise. She also goes above and beyond with respect to due diligence, an increasingly important part of transacting in New York today. And while not all deals go through, she values the ongoing education she gets along the way, finding merit in every transaction that she works on.
