Women in Real Estate 2020: Berkadia’s Mary Beale is Innovative and Numbers-Oriented Professional
Mary Beale serves as Director of Berkadia’s Multifamily Investment Sales team in Central and North Florida, serving the Orlando, Jacksonville, Tampa and Panhandle markets. A graduate of Florida State University with a degree in real estate and finance, Mary joined Berkadia in 2011 and quickly advanced to a production role.
Beale was promoted to Director in 2017 and has been involved in $2.7 billion of sales volume since 2015. In 2019, she was instrumental in closing a record-breaking deal in the region, which was the sale of the 278-unit Amber Lakes property in Winter Park for $49 million. The sale set a record per-unit price at $176,000/unit for a 1970s-era vintage multifamily property.
Known and appreciated for her analytical, numbers-oriented approach, Beale has excelled not only as a communicator but also at handling some of the most difficult and challenging listings.
She has also proven innovative and highly skilled at leveraging Berkadia’s proprietary technology and tools. Beale developed a “virtual drive-through” tour of Orlando during the COVID-19 lockdown to help provide clients with real-time market data and information vital to their decision-making.
