Women in Real Estate 2020: The Inland Real Estate Group’s Janet Heintz Keeps Company at the Forefront

Janet HeintzAs SVP and Assistant General Counsel of The Inland Real Estate Group, LLC, Law Department, Janet Heintz represents Inland entities and sponsored funds in the primary business areas of Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financings, commercial real estate bridge financings and investment advisors. In addition, she counsels on corporate structure, financing, marketing, insurance, miscellaneous human resource matters, intellectual property and other corporate-wide initiatives, including being a member of the Inland COVID-19 Committee, which oversees communications and business-related issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and also serves as counsel to Inland’s Diversity and Inclusion Council.

An integral member of the Inland organization’s law department for 25 years, Ms. Heintz’s expertise in handling specialized, complex issues and legislation has been instrumental in keeping Inland at the forefront of industry and nationwide initiatives.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Heintz as one of the 2020 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.

A career highlight for Heintz was drafting and promoting the passage of Commercial PACE legislation in the State of Illinois and subsequent amendments. Under her leadership, insight and initiative, C-PACE has been positively received and a beneficial addition for Illinois commercial property owners looking to achieve energy efficiency and cost savings for their properties.
