Women in Real Estate 2020: JLL’s Charlotte Kang Shines With Lead-by-Example Approach

Having been tasked to lead JLL Valuation Advisory’s Hotel & Hospitality Group less than a year ago, Charlotte Kang stepped up to the challenge. She was previously embedded with the dedicated Hotel & Hospitality team at JLL prior to her role with Valuation Advisory business, so her connectivity to what’s happening in lodging capital markets and other advisory services allows for a holistic view of the entire lifecycle of the assets.

In her current role, Kang leads the specialty practice areas in third-party valuations, market studies, buy-side due diligence, and portfolio advisory. Her impact on the business was immediate, posting more than 100% revenue growth since accepting the national role.

Charlotte’s 15-year-plus tenure in the hospitality space is well rounded in valuations, capital markets, and advisory services, which gives her the ability to see multiple perspectives and offer sound solutions. While extremely technical in her approach to the business, she brings a lead by example approach that energizes everyone she works with and is highly sought-after by her clients.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Kang as one of the 2020 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
