Women in Real Estate 2020: Greystone’s Ana Ramos Won’t Settle for Less

Ana Ramos serves as Managing Director, Regional Head of West Coast Small Loan Production for Greystone in Los Angeles. Her story is one of determination and courage to build a career by blending a passion for people with a drive and personal character that serves as a role model to others. Her rise within the industry is a testament to the principle Ramos follows that hard work, persistence and exceptional customer service produces results.

Ramos brings more than two decades of commercial real estate experience to her role at Greystone. She also adds an extensive background in underwriting and production that has generated more than $2 billion in loan originations.

While service and certainty of execution keeps clients returning, Ramos’ “flexibility, determination and creativity” are keys to her success, as is an unwillingness to settle for anything less than excellence.

She focuses on what Greystone categorizes as small loans however, Ramos recently closed a $35 million deal that involved restructuring the borrowing entity so that it could qualify for Fannie Mae execution. It was a deal that Ramos says, “… was a pivotal moment for me – I was challenged to work outside of my ‘small loan’ comfort zone and pursue larger loans.”

Ramos’ CRE background and the strong relationships she forges with customers, allows her to move beyond merely a transactional role of simply providing a loan. She has earned a place at the table as a trusted advisor for her clients, which allows her to structure loans, assist post-closing and prepare for future opportunities.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Ramos as one of the 2020 Women in Real Estate Award winners in California. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.

Outside of the office, Ramos is passionate about her professional and personal pursuits. She is a member of CREW Los Angeles, participates in a CRE Women’s monthly dinner, and is a founding sponsor of Greystone’s Women’s Network. She takes pride in mentoring others professionally and personally. She is a Life Group Leader for her church and a Women’s leader.
