Women in Real Estate 2019: Transwestern Investment Group’s Jennifer White Blends Financial Knowledge with Client Requirements

As leader of the Transwestern Investment Group’s (TIG) investor relationship management efforts, TIG principal Jennifer White has mastered the difficult role of balancing concierge-level customers service with deep financial acumen. The result is business expansion with current clients, and the ability to build trust with prospective clients.

White’s ability to form strong relationships with commercial real estate institutional investors helped TIG enter the real estate private equity fund business through its TIG Value & Income Series. Her ability to build relationships helped ensure that each investor in the initial fund returned to invest in the second one.

During her seven years with the company, White helped the firm increase its Assets under Management from $200 million to $4.5 billion. She succeeded in this endeavor by building a strong sense of trust among clients. Because White is experienced in working with many institutional investors and pension fund clients, she has a deep understanding of the priorities and concerns of this clientele. Before joining TIG, White was involved with the real estate banking group of Bankers Trust in New York.

Her industry and community affiliations include the Association for International Real Estate (AFIRE), Highland Park United Methodist Church, Students Shoulder-to-Shoulder and Roundup River Ranch. White’s dedication to the industry, combined with her focus on relationship-building and success, led her to receive Connect Media’s 2019 Women in Real Estate Award.
