Women in Real Estate 2019: Gensler’s Sheryl Schulze Takes Charge

A principal with Gensler, Sheryl Schulze is also the firm’s landlord services leader. Her expertise in repositioning, relocation and renovation has made her a trusted advisor to clients, providing the insight and guidance needed to assist in the management of real estate portfolios and value-driven solutions.

Schulze is described as a natural leader who puts her clients’ best interests at the forefront of her work. She forms strong teams and knows how to manage and leverage them to deliver exceptional results. Sheryl brings the same level of attention and creativity to all repositioning projects, ranging from an impactful lobby refresh, to her role as Gensler’s lead on 601W Companies’ 2.8-million-square-foot Old Post Office redevelopment.

These are just some of the reasons we chose Schulze as one of the 2019 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.

Sheryl uses her “take charge” nature to not only move client projects across the finish line, but also to drive economic growth and create local impact across the community. She held a board position on the Chicago Building Congress for the past two years, and served as co-chair of the Women United Council for the United Way of Metro Chicago for three years. She helps the YWCA of Metropolitan Chicago further its mission, utilizing design in community centers to support and empower women in transition.
