Women in Real Estate 2019: CushWake’s Wanda Riley Known as Empowering Leader

In her nearly 20 years with Cushman & Wakefield, Wanda Riley has served in a number of key leadership roles, taking on greater responsibilities with each one. She currently holds two very powerful titles and in January 2019, became the first woman named Managing Principal in any Cushman & Wakefield office in the entire Southeast.

In addition to her role as Managing Principal, Riley also serves as the Director of Brokerage Services & Operations for the firm’s entire Florida operation, a position she has held since 2014. In this dual-role, Riley is responsible for ensuring the profitability of Cushman & Wakefield’s $150M Florida operation, which consistently ranks among the top five markets in the country for the firm.

Riley has been recognized by her peers for her leadership skills, unique knack for problem solving and mentorship abilities.

Through her leadership, Ms. Riley makes a point of empowering female professionals through sponsorship and by advocating for their successes. She actively explores opportunities to hire and promote women professionals and as a result, women currently make up approximately 60 percent of Cushman & Wakefield’s Florida management team.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Riley as one of the 2019 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
