Women in Real Estate: Compass’ Adelaide Polsinelli Has Mastered the Art of the Deal

Adelaide Polsinelli has sold more than 1,500 properties with an aggregate value of $40 billion-plus across every asset class, from multifamily to air rights. That volume of deals might represent a blur to another broker, but Polsinelli—who last year launched Compass’ investment sales division—treats each transaction not as a commodity but as a creation, an approach that often leads to record-breaking prices.

She’s regularly called upon as a co-op and condominium expert, known for uncovering value for co-op and condos by methodically structuring the various components of their real estate. On the subject of condos, while heading the retail sales division at Eastern Consolidated, Polsinelli was instrumental in classifying retail condos as a new real estate asset class, the urban equivalent to triple-net-leased properties.
