Women in Real Estate 2019: Marcus & Millichap’s Laurie Ann Drinkwater Navigates Her Clients

At Marcus & Millichap, first VP Laurie Ann Drinkwater is a widely recognized and acclaimed broker with 30 years-plus experience in retail sales through the greater New England area. She’s coming off another banner year in which her team completed more than $250 million in transactions, with clients ranging from private investors and developers to large institutional investors.

Drinkwater has successfully navigated clients through all real estate climates, ranging from market peaks to the hangover of the 2008 economic downturn. The numbers speak for themselves, including Drinkwater’s nine annual Sales Recognition Awards from Marcus & Millichap, for 2004, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. She was admitted into Marcus &Millichap’s 7-Figure Club in 2012.

These are just some of the reasons we chose Drinkwater as one of the 2019 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.

An industry colleague says the most consistent feedback in Drinkwater’s testimonials from clients is that they feel genuinely represented by someone that is in their corner, looking out for their interests at every stage of the transaction. She has a reputation for cleaning up messes, and one of her secret weapons is a commitment to detail on its deepest fundamental level, which she has used to both uncover opportunity and overcome impediments to highly complex transactions.
