Women in Real Estate 2019: Transwestern’s Lauren Davidson Knows How to Work the Room

An SVP at Transwestern, Lauren Davidson provides both tenant and landlord advisory services to clients in New York City. Since beginning her brokerage career in 2006, Davidson has completed more than one million square feet in leasing transactions. In particular, her real estate counsel is sought after by many nonprofits. She recently conducted a lengthy and successful headquarters search for the American Friends of Hebrew University (AFHU), and provided leasing advisory services for KIPP NYC and KIPP Foundation to colocate.

The Transwestern team is currently working with the organization on its charter schools.

When discussing Davidson with her peers, one theme that comes up consistently is her ability to connect. Although she’s not a “classic cold caller,” she has curated an extensive network of contacts over the years, and is described by a peer as someone who “can work a room like no one else.”

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Davidson as one of the 2019 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.

Davidson takes time to act as a mentor for younger members of the team. She is particularly attentive to assisting younger female colleagues as they enter and advance through the commercial real estate industry, and is described as a go-to leader for the next generation of brokers as well as her peers.
