Women in Real Estate 2019: Colliers’ Carol Brooks Recognized as Visionary CRE Professional

Carol Greenberg Brooks, Vice Chairman of Marketing and Retail for Colliers South Florida, is committed to serving clients, giving back to the community and her profession. Brooks was one of the first women in the commercial real estate industry when she co-founded Continental Real Estate Companies in 1989, a commercial real estate firm, paving the way for women to push for gender equality in the industry.

Quickly learning about the industry and expanding to more than 100 professionals across three offices, Carol led by example as President and co-founder of CREC, instilling a sense of entrepreneurship in her colleagues while mentoring young and seasoned professionals alike to reach their fullest potentials professionally and personally.

In November 2018, Colliers International acquired CREC, and Carol now serves as Vice Chairman of Marketing and Retail for Colliers International South Florida.

With an unwavering commitment to her career and community, Brooks exemplifies the qualities of a Woman in Real Estate 2019 by seeing the larger picture while applying her strong work ethic to accomplish the day-to-day tasks that were needed to build a successful career in commercial real estate. Coupled with her passion for helping others achieve their goals, Carol welcomed challenges as opportunities that became the essential building blocks that successfully created the foundation of her company, her career as well as the careers of others she mentored.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Brooks as one of the 2019 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
