Women in Real Estate 2019: BentallGreenOak’s Kim Addy Leads by Example

BentallGreenOak’s Kim Addy is a critical component to the firm’s success and is directly responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of investment opportunities the firm considers in her role as Principal, Investments. The highly-respected leader-by-example was promoted into her current position in Seattle earlier this summer.

The CCIM-certified CRE executive has been with the company and its predecessor Bentall Kennedy for nearly 29 years in roles that encompassed transactions and operations. The company was formed when Canadian insurer Sun Life merged its real estate investment businesses, Bentall Kennedy and GreenOak Real Estate, earlier this year. The move was envisioned as a way to offer investors access to deals ranging from core to opportunistic. BentallGreenOak is majority-owned by Sun Life Financial, and operates under Sun Life Investment Management.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Addy as one of the 2019 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.

Addy is also a PADI-certified Master Diver, and Rescue Diver who also received a CREW Network Certificate in Leadership in 2016. She serves on numerous CREW roles including Seattle & Sound Programs Committee member, Board Member and Director of Foundation, Audit Committee member, Foundation Champion Committee member and the Global Foundation Board of Directors.
