Wolf Haldenstein Re-Ups at 270 Madison, Its Home Since 1923

There are long-term tenants, and there are perennial tenants. ABS Partners Real Estate has renewed the 32,790-square-foot lease of law firm Wolf Haldenstein Adler Freeman & Herz LLP at 270 Madison Ave. The tenant has been based at 270 Madison since 1923, when the 269,000-square-foot office property opened.

ABS has spent $20 million over the years to reposition the Grand Central District property. Its longtime tenant will relocate temporarily within 270 Madison, as the in-house construction team modifies the space to meet Wolf Haldenstein’s requirements.

Robert Finkelstein, executive managing director at ABS, credits the law firm’s longevity at 270 Madison to “our sustained investment in the property. It is incredibly rare for a tenant to remain in one building for 95 years, and we have devoted significant resources toward improving not only their office, but all of our tenant spaces and building systems.”
