Samsung Electronics is building a multi-billion dollar chipmaking plant in Taylor, and developers are racing to complete projects to support the expected need. While the developers are still securing entitlements, the towns Planning Commission is cooperating, recently approving the plan. It would add much-needed housing in Taylor, a city of about 17,000, that is expecting thousands of workers and supplier’s families to move into town as a result of the Samsung project.
