Winston & Strawn in Talks to Backfill Boston Consulting Group Space at 300 N. LaSalle

Law firm Winston & Strawn is in advanced discussions to lease close to 150,000 square feet in Irvine Company’s 60-story office tower at 300 N. LaSalle St., reported Crain’s Chicago Business. The firm would lease the space that Boston Consulting Group will leave behind when it moves to a new office building under construction in the Fulton Market District.

Winston & Strawn currently occupies roughly 257,000 square feet at 35 W. Wacker Dr., where it has been based since 1989. The relocation would be in keeping with the workspace-shedding movement that has shaped the downtown office market since the COVID-19 pandemic began, Crain’s reported.

The trend has been evinced by law firms’ recent moves. Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom, for example, signed a lease last year for 89,000 square feet at the new BMO Tower, where it will relocate from a 167,000-square-foot office at 155 N. Wacker Dr.
