Winston Hospitality Obtains HDRC Nod for Riverview Towers Redesign
The San Antonio Historic and Design Review Commission (HDRC) gave conceptual approval to developer Winston Hospitality Inc. for redevelopment of the 20-story Riverview Towers in downtown San Antonio. The North Carolina-headquartered Winston is in the process of acquiring the building at 111 Soledad St. from Primera Properties.
Preliminary plans for the renovation call for a rooftop bar on the 14th and 15th floors, along with a new canopy and trellis structure. Furthermore, an express elevator is planned for the bar, and two guest room windows could be installed on each floor on the building’s west side. New exterior lighting and signage are also on tap.
A specific timeline for the redevelopment has not been determined.
