Wingstop Pays $18M to Roost in New HQ
Wingstop Restaurant Inc. has entered into a contract with Westerman Realty Interests LLC to acquire a 78,000-square-foot office building in Addison, TX, with plans to convert it into its new headquarters. The fast-food chicken-wing restaurant chain will pay $18.3 million to the seller at closing, in September 2019.
Wingstop’s current headquarters is at 5501 LBJ Fwy. (Interstate 635). The new location, which delivered in 2010, is at 15505 Wright Brothers Dr.
Michelle Hudson, SIOR, CCIM with Hudson Peters Commercial LLC is representing Westerman in the transaction; the tenant is represented by CBRE’s Josh White.
Wingstop Chairman and CEO Charlie Morrison said that attracting and retaining top talent is essential to ensure continued growth. Our current facility does not provide the expansion capacity for our long-term growth,” he said. “We believe that our investment in this facility will generate meaningful returns and create value for our shareholders now and over the long-term.”
