Wingate Living Expands to Cape Cod with Brewster Acquisition

Seniors housing specialist Wingate Living has acquired a 59-apartment independent and assisted living community located at 64 Woodlands Way in Brewster, MA, its first on Cape Cod. Terms were not disclosed. Wingate is investing in the future of the community, undertaking an extensive revitalization of the property and partnering with renowned designer Elizabeth Markel.

This acquisition comes as Wingate Living concludes 2025 with a portfolio-wide occupancy rate of 97%. “We’re proud to bring Wingate’s commitment to quality senior living to the Cape,” said Alexandra Schuster, president of Wingate Living. “Brewster is a beautiful community with a strong sense of connection, and we look forward to enhancing this property to reflect the same standards of excellence our residents have come to expect across all Wingate communities.”

The renovation will fully transform the community, now known as Wingate Residences at Pleasant Bay, updating the interiors of all 59 apartments and modernizing all common areas. The company said the improvements are planned to minimize disruption while maximizing the transformation of living spaces.
