Winchester Apartments Look to Support City Master Plan

Designed by KTGY for The Hanover Company, the 366-unit seven-story building Winchester Apartments will enhance nearby Santana Row, and help support the city’s master plan and vision for a mixed-use and pedestrian-oriented development. The multifamily property recently broke ground in San Jose.

Located between historical landmark Winchester Mystery House and I-280, the property is in an area being re-envisioned as a walkable counterpart to the popular Santana Row. The master plan sits on 15.7 acres and includes a neighborhood of stacked flats and townhomes – also designed by KTGY – all of which are adjacent to the Mystery House and Century 21 movie theater.

“Winchester Apartments reflects KTGY’s ability to create elevated communities that nod to the area’s rich history and support the city’s holistic vision for its developments,” said Fred Metzger, director of design at KTGY. “In designing Winchester Apartments, KTGY had the opportunity to approach the project with a 360-view of the site. The result is a thoughtfully designed community that seamlessly blends historic elements with modern touches and a desirable, protected gem for residents to live, work and play.”
