Wimatex Buys Carlsbad Industrial Asset for $21M
Wimatex, Inc. has purchased 2271 Cosmos Court, a fully-leased, 85,000-square-foot, freestanding industrial building in Carlsbad, CA for $21.05 million. Cushman & Wakefield’s Aric Starck and Drew Dodds represented the undisclosed seller in the transaction.
The asset is leased to a global medical device and technology company. “This was a terrific value-add opportunity in an in-fill market,” said Starck. “Currently fully leased, the property provides an investor with in-place income and strong credit while allowing for future flexibility in capturing the robust industrial market demand.”
2271 Cosmos is a flexible property featuring heavy power, six dock-high doors, three grade-level doors, 24’ to 26’ clear heights and drive around access. The building also offers an amenitized entrance and a prominent two-story lobby.
This is Wimatex’s second commercial real estate purchase in the last two months in North San Diego County, following the company’s December acquisition of a two-building office portfolio in Carlsbad and Vista, CA.
