Willow Glen Apartments Sold for $18M

Willow Glen Apartments, a 97-unit apartment property in San Diego, has sold for $17.9 million. The buyer was Willow Glen Real Estate Holdings, LLC, while the seller was 3635 College Avenue, LLC.

Located at 3635-75 College Ave., the asset was constructed in 1963 and underwent significant interior and exterior renovations in 2017. The 58,814-square foot, two-building property features a mix of one and two-bedroom units.

South Coast Commercial, Inc.’s Benn Vogelsang represented the buyer. Colliers International’s Peter Scepanovic and Corey McHenry advised the seller.

Scepanovic says, “The Willow Glen Apartments provided the new ownership a rare opportunity to acquire a larger multifamily property in SDSU-College Area. With low vacancy rates in the College Area, close proximity to San Diego State University and public transit, and additional value add opportunities, the property will be a strong investment for years to come.”
