IMC has expanded its office lease at EQ Office's Willis Tower to 160,000 square feet

Willis Tower Now Nation’s Largest LEED Platinum Building

Willis Tower is now the largest building in the U.S. to earn the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum designation, EQ Office said Thursday. The iconic tower earned LEED Gold in 2018, and in less than a year, made significant energy, sustainability and comfort improvements to achieve the Platinum status.

“Our tenants and their employees are passionate about working in offices where sustainability is a priority, and we’re proud that our commitment to sustainability, which extends throughout our portfolio, has earned Willis Tower the prestigious LEED Platinum certification,” said portfolio director David Moore of EQ Office.

In partnership with Rivion, a Milwaukee-based energy consulting firm, EQ improved the building’s environmental quality through a number of building enhancements. The downtown landmark is currently undergoing a $500-million-plus renovation, the most comprehensive in its 46-year history.
