William Norgard to Open 10K-SF Cannabis Dispensary in Times Square

A new four-story cannabis dispensary is coming to 30 Times Square. William Norgard, a service-disabled veteran, signed a 20-year lease for the entire 10,040-square-foot building located at Seventh Avenue and West 48th Street. Partnering with attorney James Mallios, Norgard’s company, 2 Forest Park Lane, has applied for an adult-use retail license for the dispensary.

The deal follows Norgard’s legal victory last fall, where he and others successfully challenged New York State’s licensing rules for cannabis businesses. The property, previously owned by SL Green Realty, was sold for $32.5 million on the same day Norgard secured the lease. The new owners, tied to Boich Investment Group and Andrew Mathias, have not yet commented on the development. The building was previously occupied by Coty and housed a Cover Girl store until recently.
