William Kaufman Teams with CBRE on Meatpacking District Retail

The William Kaufman Organization (WKO) has retained CBRE as co-leasing agent with Sage Realty Corporation to market 3,122 square feet of prime retail space at 2 Gansevoort Street, a nine-story, landmarked office property in the Meatpacking District. CBRE’s Matthew Chmielecki and Preston Cannon will work closely alongside Sage Realty Corporation’s Michael Lenchner.

Lenchner said the property’s retail space offers an opportunity for a retailer to establish a new location in a newly-restored, historic building. “The area around 2 Gansevoort Street is dotted with a number of luxury retailers, trendy restaurants and art galleries,” he said.

“This area has experienced incredible growth over the years, due to the increase in tourist traffic and new residential housing,” continued Lenchner. “We believe it would be an ideal fit for a retailer looking for a unique, highly-visible space in the Meatpacking District.”

WKO has owned the 107-year-old property since 1948.
