William Kaufman Inks Quartet of Leases at 437 Madison

The William Kaufman Organization recently arranged a new lease, two expansions and a renewal at 437 Madison Ave. In the largest of the transactions, financial company ACT Commodities is expanding and extending its office space by more than 8,000 square feet to 12,945 square feet.

Private equity firm Landmark Partners will relocate from 681 Fifth Ave. into 7,779 square feet at 437 Madison. Cybersecurity firm Darktrace will expand from 3,803 square feet to 9,710, and another PE firm, Kenner & Company, is renewing its 5,369-square-foot space.

“Midtown East is continuing to show strength in 2018,” said Sage Realty’s Michael Lenchner, who represented building ownership for all four transactions, along with a JLL team of Frank Doyle, Cynthia Wasserberger, David Kleiner, Harlan Webster and Hayley Shoener. Byrnam Wood’s Gordon Ogden and Nick Gilman advised Landmark; Savills Studley’s L. Craig Lemle and Nick Zarnin represented ACT; and CBRE’s Joe Fabrizi represented Darktrace.
