Can Another Museum Make It In LA?

This past week, more than 100 people joined a forum organized by the museum development committee to discuss the prospect of an Armenian American museum on a 1.37-acre site in Glendale.

While opponents voiced concern over the traffic congestion that would likely inundate the area, proponents support the idea as a cultural hub for the community. The site is a city-owned parking lot that is located at the city’s center, near both the community college and Glendale City Hall.

The conceptual design for the two-story 30,000-square-foot museum resembles local and Armenian mountains. Inside, there would be a library with a research facility, coffee shop, and exhibitions.
