Willkie Farr Recommits to Midtown with 315K-SF Renewal

(Updated with additional information)

Law firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP has signed a 20-year lease to remain in its current New York office location, CommonWealth Partners’ 787 Seventh Ave. in Midtown Manhattan. The firm will lease approximately 315,000 square feet of office space, which will undergo a full-scale renovation to meet its future needs.

“Midtown Manhattan continues to be one of the most vibrant, convenient and accessible locations in New York City,” said New York office managing partner Rosalind Fahey Kruse at Willkie Farr. “We look forward to continuing to deliver exceptional service to our clients in our new state-of-the-art space, which will be designed with our collaborative culture in mind. We are excited for what is to come.”

Willkie Farr has been a New York City presence since its founding in 1888 and a tenant at 787 Seventh for 25 years. “Willkie’s presence and long-term tenancy at 787 Seventh is a true testament to our focus on creating an exceptional overall experience and establishing lasting relationships with our customers,” said Stefan Khudic, partner of CommonWealth Partners.

Newmark’s Neil Goldmacher, Brian Goldman, Moshe Sukenik and Douglas Levine negotiated on behalf of Willkie Farr. CBRE’s Howard Fiddle, Evan Haskell, Brett Shannon and Courtney Hughson represented ownership.
