White Plains Office Complex Changes Hands, Will Be Rebranded
Ginsburg Development Companies (GDC) and Robert Martin Company (RMC) have acquired the two-building Westchester Financial Center in White Plains, NY, previously owned by Mack-Cali. Terms were not disclosed.
The new ownership plans to rebrand the 571,000-square-foot office complex as City Square, with a view toward creating synergy with the new City of White Plains Transit District Strategic Plan. RMC developed the complex in the mid-1980s as three buildings, including an apartment property that GDC acquired in 1997. “We are confident that City Square will be Westchester County’s premier business address,” said GDC’s Martin Ginsburg.
“Projects such as City Square align with the goals of the White Plains Transit District Strategic Plan, including activating the street with retail and restaurants, new residential units, improved pedestrian experience, placemaking and proximity to mass transit,” said White Plains Mayor Tom Roach. “I am pleased to see it moving forward.”
