White Lodging Breaks Ground on Marriott-Branded Charlotte Hotel

White Lodging will break ground this month on a new Autograph Collection (Marriott) hotel in Charlotte’s South End neighborhood, marking the company’s fifth Autograph property in its national portfolio of more than 60 hotels. Situated at the intersection of South Tryon Street and Bland Street, the project is the first full-service hotel in the South End.

The 295-room luxury hotel will feature nearly 10,000 square feet of meeting space and a ground-floor restaurant. Amenities include an open-air pool deck on the hotel’s fifth floor, a public steam sauna, plus cold- and hot-plunge pools and a spa. A restaurant and bar at the hotel has been designed to serve as a community anchor in the South End neighborhood.

Brasfield & Gorrie is in charge of construction and Abeyta Architecture Studio & Corgan Architects are designing the project.
