White Lodging Breaks Ground on 162-Key Moxy Austin

Indiana developer White Lodging began work on Moxy Austin, a 162-room hotel situated close to the University of Texas-Austin campus. The development is expected to deliver in late 2020; it will be White Lodging’s third in its Moxy Hotel portfolio.

The guestrooms will offer free WiFi, abundant and well-placed power and USB outlets, 49-inch wall-mounted TVs, motion-sensor lighting, platform beds and peg-walls – a signature Moxy Hotels brand feature – for flexibility.

In addition to guestrooms, the property at Guadalupe and West 26th Streets will offer communal ground-floor space, which will include Zombie Taco, a food-truck-inspired, 24-hour taco concept. The space will also offer pick-up bites in the lobby, an open-air patio with lounge seating and fire pits, game tables and an interactive digital guestbook.

White Lodging is no stranger to Austin. it owns and/or operates 12 other hotels and eight restaurants/bars in the metro, and is developing the 613-room Austin Marriott Downtown.
