White & Case Upsizes to 489k SF at Rock Group’s 1221 Sixth

Law firm White & Case has expanded its presence at the Sixth Avenue tower to which it relocated last year, taking an additional 49,000 square feet at Rockefeller Group’s 1221 Ave. of the Americas. The firm now will occupy approximately 489,000 square feet on the office tower’s top 10 floors.

“We are proud to have White & Case as a tenant in 1221 Ave. of the Americas, and we are pleased the firm chose to expand its space in the building,” said Ed Guiltinan, SVP and head of leasing in New York for Rockefeller Group. He cited “the continued positive response” to the $50-million capital improvement program at the property, along with demand for office space along the avenue generally.

Guiltinan led an in-house team representing ownership, along with Cushman & Wakefield Executive Vice Chairman Rob Lowe. The tenant was represented by JLL’s Ken Siegel, Tom Doughty and Lisa Kiell.
