Wheeling Retail Trades in 1031 Exchange

Marcus & Millichap recently completed the sale of Creekside Plaza, a 31,640-square-foot retail property in Wheeling, IL. The asset sold for $2,000,000.

The team of SVPs Austin Weisenbeck and Sean R. Sharko and first VP Adrian Mendoza, all based in Marcus & Millichap’s Chicago Oak Brook office, marketed the property on behalf of the seller, a limited liability company.  The buyer, a Chicago-based 1031 exchange private investor, was secured and represented by Mendoza, Weisenbeck and Sharko.

Creekside Plaza is located at 200-300 McHenry Rd. in Wheeling, at the signaled intersection of Elmhurst Road and McHenry Road. The property has more than 1,100 feet of combined frontage and features a triangular lot positioning for maximum visibility. The sale closed with all cash and went from contract to close in 10 days.
