Whataburger Jets Into San Antonio Airport
Whataburger has been headquartered in San Antonio since 2009 with almost $3 billion in annual sales. The local burger favorite will be the newest restaurant to serve hungry travelers at the San Antonio International Airport.
“We listened to what our customers wanted and they asked for the famous orange and white stripes of Whataburger,” said Jesus H. Saenz Jr., director of airports, San Antonio Airport System.
Franchise partner and airport restauranteur Paradies Lagardère recently revealed Whataburger’s future location which will open early next year. The new restaurant will be located in the food court of Terminal A, providing jobs for more than 50 local employees. Paradies Lagardère will start hiring for the new restaurant in spring 2022.
“We have built great relationships with these outstanding partners and appreciate their efforts to make this vision a reality,” said Gregg Paradies, president and CEO, Paradies Lagardere.
