WeWork’s Sacto Deal Largest of Year
There is still time to join us this week for Connect Bay Area at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco. Get more information, and register to attend on this link.
New York-based WeWork is taking more than 96,000 square feet at 660 J St. in downtown Sacramento. The deal with the co-working company would rank as the region’s largest so far this year.
WeWork is set to occupy the top three floors at a more than 100,000-square-foot mixed-use building owned by the Sacramento Kings and JMA Ventures LLC in 2021. The four-story building is located within the 630,000-square-foot urban redevelopment that encompasses Downtown Commons (DOCO) and Golden 1 Center.
WeWork’s Elton Kwok says, “With co-led events and experiences between members and Kings fans, we truly hope to create a campus for the future, where each partner is truly invested in the experiences that happen within that community in a way that’s accessible, meaningful and fun.”
Cushman & Wakefield’s Ron Thomas represented both parties in the lease negotiations.
