WeWork Plans to Open 80K-SF Office in Dallas’ CBD

New York City-headquartered WeWork is planning to open its largest co-working space yet, as it plans to take down 80,000 square feet in Dallas’ central business district. Specifically, the company will open a three-floor hub in Thanksgiving Tower at 1601 Elm St. The space would be WeWork’s second in Dallas; it will soon open an office on McKinney Avenue in Uptown.

The deal represents another in a line of co-working concepts coming to downtown Dallas, according to Kourtny Garrett, president of Downtown Dallas Inc. Garrett indicated that the submarket has absorbed almost 300,000 square feet of co-working space during the past two years.
