WeWork Inks a Pair of San Antonio Deals
New York City-headquartered WeWork signed leases in two downtown San Antonio buildings. The co-working behemoth will be taking space at the Kress Building, 315 E. Houston St., and down the street at the Grant Building, 305 E. Houston St. Both leases total 75,000 square feet; GrayStreet Partners owns both buildings.
While it was announced last fall, that WeWork would occupy part of the Kress Building, officials later indicated that a lease hadn’t been signed, as the company continued to explore San Antonio options. With a contract firmly in hand, GrayStreet’s Peter French indicated to the Rivard Report that the co-working tenant is a perfect match for the growing Houston Street tech district. He said that WeWork has the name recognition necessary to grow a downtown tech district.
