WeWork Inks 60K-SF Deal in Midtown Manhattan

WeWork, the provider of co-working space, has inked a deal for 60,000 square feet at 135 E. 57th St. in midtown Manhattan. The 13-year lease had a reported asking rent of $80 per square foot.

The new space adds to office space WeWork already has in other spots throughout New York, including Brooklyn and Queens. The company, founded by Adam Neumann and Miguel McKelvey, has been valued at $10 billion, and now has approximately 2 million square feet in 30 cities around the world.

Marc Schoen led the Savitt Partners team that represented WeWork. Building landlord Cohen Brothers Realty was represented in-house by Marc Horowitz.
