WeWork Expanding to 100K SF at Tower 57

Seven months after signing its lease at Tower 57 in Midtown Manhattan, WeWork expanded by another 40,000 square feet, taking down a grand total of 100,000 square feet. The lease for the space at 135 E. 57th St. is for 13.5 years, approximately the same amount of time the co-working tenant has on the 60,000 square feet it signed for this past April.

WeWork now covers floors 14-16 at the 32-story, 427,000-square-foot property. The asking rent was in the high $70s per square foot. Marc Horowitz with Cohen Brothers Realty Corp., which manages the property, was the in-house representative for landlord Charles S. Cohen. Savitt Partners represented WeWork.
